Intro Feeding a Fussy Toddler Positive Parenting Attitude Pays Off Child's Play Menu Ideas

Your toddler continues to grow and develop at an amazing pace. She has boundless energy and loves to run — be ready for falls, bumps and bruises! She loves to pull and push toys, fill up containers and dump them out, and pound things. She could spend hours walking up and down stairs, especially with a banister or hand to hold on to. Supervise her carefully to prevent falls.

Play imagination games, like pretending you are farm animals or pets. This stimulates your toddler's creativity and sense of humor.
Select simple puzzles and other toys that are challenging but not too difficult for your toddler to enjoy.
Play with soft balls in various sizes and colors. Toddlers love to roll balls to you!
Continue to include at least an hour of planned physical activity every day, for example, a walk, a toddler music and dance class, or a visit to a playground, along with plenty of activity time for playing with toys and friends.
Regularly visit a local park that has toddler-size slides, tunnels, places to climb, and swings.
Put together a small playgroup with other toddlers the same age.
Be active indoors. Put on music and clap, jump and dance. Create a fun, safe obstacle course. Go on a treasure hunt in the house.
Encourage your toddler to do simple tasks with you, like putting away toys, picking flowers, folding and putting away laundry, sweeping the floor, or placing groceries in the cupboard.
Remember that toddlers should not be inactive for more than an hour, except when napping.
Playtime safety - Discard toys with small parts that could be pulled off and swallowed, or put them away until your child is older.
