We're always hearing about new ways to cook with Dannon yogurts. Take a look at these inventive and exciting and easy culinary uses for Dannon:

  • Soups:

For a streamlined base for soups, casseroles or cooked sauces, add 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour to each cup of DANNON Plain yogurt.

  • Sandwiches:

To make a great spread for a pita chicken or turkey sandwich, mix 1 cup DANNON Plain yogurt with 1 diced plum tomato, 1/4 cup scallions and a touch of chopped mint or parsley.

  • Crepes:

Fill crepes (or pancakes) with DANNON Natural Flavors lowfat Vanilla or Light 'n Fit Vanilla nonfat yogurt, roll up and top with fresh fruit.

  • Pancakes:

For a more fluffy version of these family favorites, use any DANNON Natural Flavors lowfat Vanilla or DANNON Light 'n Fit Vanilla nonfat yogurt in place of milk in your favorite pancake mix.

  • Cannoli:

For a cannoli filling, blend DANNON Natural Flavors lowfat Vanilla or DANNON Light 'n Fit Vanilla nonfat yogurt with ricotta.

  • Marinades:

To give your marinades for chicken, fish or pork a delicious tangy flavor, use the same amount of DANNON Plain yogurt in place of oil before grilling.

  • Yogurt Cheese:

Use yogurt cheese instead of cream cheese! To make yogurt cheese, line a colander or large strainer with a coffee filter. Place the colander or strainer in a large bowl. Spoon DANNON Plain yogurt into the lined colander. Cover and place in the refrigerator and let drip for 24 hours to form yogurt cheese. One pint of yogurt yields about one cup of cheese.

  • Mexican Toppings:

For a healthy and flavorful topping for Mexican dishes, add 1 teaspoon toasted chili powder, 1/4 cup chopped scallions, 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro and a touch of tomato paste to 1 cup DANNON Plain yogurt.
